Who we are
Eat the Map is a family publishing project run by Nina Wegner and Taylor Weidman. This policy covers goeatthemap.com and dumplingroad.com. Questions: hello@goeatthemap.com.
What we collect
If you join our mailing list, we collect your email address. We also collect basic, anonymous information about how people use the site (pages visited, rough location by country, device type).
How we use it
We use your email only to send our newsletter. We use site statistics to see which stories people read. We never sell or rent your information.
Who helps us
Kit sends our newsletter and stores subscriber emails. Google Analytics measures site visits; Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. InMotion Hosting runs the website. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
Double opt-in
After you sign up, we send one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent until you click it.
Kids
Our newsletter is for grown-ups (13+). We don’t knowingly collect information from children. Our own kids appear on this site by voice and hands only.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email us and we’ll take care of it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
